Let’s face it, everyone likes to have a snack from time to time. Sometimes we need a pick-me-up in the middle of the day. Sometimes we’re just extra hungry. Sometimes we’re bored (that’s bad snacking, by the way).
Whatever the case may be, it’s good to have an arsenal of snacks that are favorable to your keto diet. Vending machines are not going to be your friend anymore. If you haven’t already, you’ll need to break-up with your office vending machine.
The good news is, there are a TON of keto friendly options when it comes to the munchies. I’ve put together a list of 16 snacks, sweet and savory, that I personally love and almost always have on hand.
Responsible snacking is also important! Just because a snack is keto friendly doesn’t mean we can eat 100 of them. Portioning out your snacks is key to maintaining your macros. Food scales are your friends here, folks! If you don’t have one, I’ve got a link above for the one I have. Cheap, cute, and it works like a charm!
I should also note that when you are in ketosis, you shouldn’t be getting hangry through the day. One of the benefits of being in ketosis is that you just aren’t hungry. So, if you find yourself getting hangry or really hungry (and you’re not fasting), then something’s up and you should test your ketones!
