Serving Suggestions

I like to enjoy my baked eggs straight from the oven on a lazy Sunday morning. I serve them with a side of warm, buttered crusty almond flour bread for a delicious dip-and-scoop experience. You can complement the meal with a glass of your go-to morning brew. I like to finish it off with some Keto Banana Muffins with Walnuts. I guarantee you a guilt-free breakfast that has all the warmth of a sunlit kitchen filled with love.

Tips & Tricks to Making Perfect Baked Eggs

  • Ensure your eggs are fresh.
  • Buttering the dish before adding your eggs should make your clean-up stress-free.
  • All you need is a set egg white and a still-runny yolk. Keep a close eye on them in the oven.
  • Eggs love salt. Make sure to season the eggs before they go into the oven for that balance of flavor.
  • Try different cheeses, spices, cured meats, sautéed veggies, or even a bit of smoked salmon if you’re feeling indulgent.

FAQ & Substitutions

How long should I bake the eggs for?

If you’re going for perfectly set whites and runny yolks, you’re looking at 8–10 minutes in a preheated 350°F oven.

Can I switch up the toppings?

Yes, the eggs are a blank canvas, so sauté some mushrooms, wilt a little spinach, or make that prosciutto extra crispy for a twist. Trade chives for dill or basil, and flex your cheese game by trying out different types. Go crazy!

Can I make this a vegetarian dish?

Absolutely! Just ditch the meats like bacon, sausage or whatever and pile up the veggies instead. Tasty doesn’t have to mean meaty.

Any fun variations I can try?

For a Greek twist, throw in some olives, sundried tomatoes, and swap feta for halloumi. Fancy a Mexican fiesta? Add jalapenos, black beans, and sprinkle on some cheddar cheese.

How to Prep and Store Baked Eggs

These yummy Baked Eggs are sooo much better straight out of the oven. It’s because of this that I don’t recommend prepping them beforehand. But I get it. Hosting a brunch can be a handful, so I won’t judge you if you whip these up a few hours in advance. Got leftovers? Pop those eggs into a covered container and store them in the fridge for a couple of days. To dine on them once more, just warm them up gently in the oven on LOW, or if you want it quick and easy just pop them in the microwave.
