Ingredients

  • ½ lb. broccoli florets
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ lemon
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp chili flakes (optional)
  • 3 tbsp Parmesan grated (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and cover a baking tray with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, drizzle olive oil evenly on the broccoli. Add the salt and pepper to taste. Stir up the broccoli so that the oil, salt, and pepper are evenly distributed.
  • Spread the broccoli florets out in a single layer on the baking tray. Place the lemon on the tray. Bake everything for 45 minutes.
  • Take the tray out of the oven. Sprinkle chili flakes and Parmesan over the broccoli and squeeze the lemon juice onto it. Return the tray to the oven for an additional 5 minutes.

Notes

  • Frozen broccoli is fine if that's all you have on hand. Just let it thaw out first then pat it dry with a paper towel to avoid soggy broccoli.
